My name is Zoe and I have a passion for movement. I have always been incredibly active and absolutely love being outside in nature whether it is running, on my bike or in the mountains. My journey for a natural, wild and mindful life full of movement has taken decades of travel, experiences and studying and I am only now truly understanding the importance of reconnecting to ourselves and nature.
As a Primary School Teacher I had the opportunity to work in Mexico and Peru for a number of years and it was while there that I was struck how many people lived in flow with the cycles of nature. For many 'exercise' was not a thing yet they moved their bodies every single day and had a functional fitness which enabled them to work and live happy and healthy lives.
After training as a Pilates Teacher I was confronted with the same aliments time after time - back pain, foot pain, hip pain, shoulder tightness and as I worked with clients and began to dive deeper into the world of natural movement I was reminded of many of the people I had met in the Andes and Amazon and how they did not suffer with these same issues.
Through continued learning and understanding I have become acutely aware of the importance of our environment on our well-being and health and am dedicated to helping clients make everyday changes in their environments which have a massive impact on their physical (and mental) health.
Over the last few years I have made significant changes in my own home environment including a floor desk, climbing and hanging opportunities and getting rid of the sofas (you don't have to go that far!!)
Our bodies need daily movement and they need a variety of nutritious movement. Your cells require movement to thrive. If you are interested in learning more or working with me then please send a message or sign up for a free initial 1:1.
